How To Turn on JavaScript
To turn on JavaScript, follow the directions below. Each browser has a way to enable JavaScript, usually found in the options or preferences menu. It only takes a few seconds to turn it on, and your JavaScript can easily be turned off again when done.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x, 6.x, 7x
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu
- Click the Security tab
- Click Custom Level in Security Level for this Zone
- Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list
- Under Active Scripting, choose Enable
- Click OK to leave Security Settings.
- Click OK to leave Internet Options (See the picture to the right)
- Close your browser and restart it
Macintosh Internet Explorer 4.x, 5.x
- Choose Preferences under the Edit menu
- Click Web Content under Web Browser
- In Active Content, check the box next to Enable scripting
- In Java, click Enable Java. Click OK
- Close your browser and restart it
Safari for Macintosh
- Select Safari from the menu bar and click on Preferences
- Click on the Security icon
- Click on checkbox next to Enable JavaScript
- Close that window
- Close this window
- Click the Reload button
Opera
- From the File menu select Preferences
- Select Multimedia
- Check the box labeled Enable JavaScript
- Push OK
- Reload the current page
Foxfire
- Click Tools
- Click Options
- Web Features
- Select the button for Javascript (See the picture to the right)
- Close your browser and restart it
Mozilla (Windows)
- Select Edit from the menu bar
- Click on Preferences
- Click on plus sign next to Advanced to show options
- Click on Scripts & Plugins
- Click on the checkbox next to Navigator under Enable JavaScript
- Click the OK button
- Close this window
- Click the Reload button
